Dentistry in Rural Hall

Our Story

Our practice was founded by Dr. Charles Robert Helsabeck in 1940. Our office was previously located where the Rural Hall Post Office is today. In 1960, we moved to our current location. There have been several renovations to the office, and we currently have seven treatment rooms.

Dr. Jim Helsabeck began practicing with his father in 1972 and they worked together for 16 years. Dr. Robert retired in 1988 and for the next several years, Dr. Jim worked with several associate dentists. In 2007, Dr. Vann, who grew up in this community, returned to Rural Hall to practice dentistry alongside Dr. Helsabeck. They worked together for more than 12 years, and during that time, Dr. Vann was able to collaborate with Dr. Helsabeck to gain further understanding of the dental practice and the patients we serve.

In October 2018, Dr. Vann purchased the practice. Dr. Helsabeck continued to practice for a few more years after that, officially retiring in 2020 after COVID forced several changes in our profession. Since 2020, Dr. Vann has practiced alongside a fantastic and experienced support staff. Together, they work to provide quality preventive and restorative dental services to Rural Hall and surrounding communities.
